December 16, 2007 - Students testing for grade in North Canton

On December 7th, 2007 the North Canton, Ohio Branch school held a promotion test. In all
51 students tested from White belt to Red Belt. This test was conducted by Master Mel
Lute and Steven Shenault and included not only Students from the North Canton Branch
but the Lake YMCA branch as well. The students were prepared and performed well in
all areas, from Poomse to Kyuk Pa. A good time was had by all. We are looking forward
to the start of 2008, with new belts, new forms and new challenges!

December 06, 2007 - Grandmaster Kim's Annual Holiday Party

Grandmaster Kim's Annual Holiday party will be on Saturday, January 5, 2008 and dinner
will be served at 6:00 p.m. Please bring your family and supporters of Tae Kwon Do to
this event. Prices are $10.00 for 11 years old and older and $7.00 for 3 - 10 years
old. Prices includes buffet, drink and tip. Adult beverages available but not included
in the above price.

**NOTICE** Please R.S.V.P. by December 27 either through your branch
instructor or contact Master Markus.

Furthering its initiative to restore martial arts traditions and values to the practice of Tae
Kwon Do, the USA Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts Commission took a giant step foward by
conducting its inaugural meeting in conjunction with the USA Tae Kwon Do Junior
Olympics and Senior Nationals in San Jose, California from July 9 - 11, 2007. The
highlight of the meeting was the induction of more than 50 grandmasters and select
masters and instructors as founding members, and the presentation of special awards
from the World Tae Kwon Do Federation and Kukkiwon to practitioners who have
distinguished themselves with their contributions to Tae Kwon Do in USA.

October 25, 2007 -Black Belt certification ceremony from October 12, 2007 video






October 19, 2007 - Appreciation letter from Mrs. Beverly Houze (Widow of Master
Fred Houze Jr
). Mrs. Houze would like to send her appreciation to Grandmaster Hong
Kong Kim's Black Belt Academy for the donation that help to go towards Master Houze's
medical expenses. Master Houze would be deeply touched. As you know he was use to
giving rather then receiving. God bless everyone for your thoughts and prayers and
assistance.

October 19, 2007 - Lawrenceburg, Indiana branch to add a new class. Starting
Monday December 03, 2007 the Lawrenceburg branch will add an Adult Tae Kwon Do class.

October 04, 2007- In the upcoming November issue of MA Success, Grandmaster Kim
along with Grandmaster J.P. Choi out of Columbus, OH is featured in the segment about
the USA Tae Kwon Do's Martial Arts Commission that Grandmaster Kim along with
Grandmaster J.P. Choi will co-chair the governing body with in the United States.

Article - United States of America Tae Kwon Do (USAT) the National Governing Body for
the Olympic sport of taekwondo, recently announced the formation of the new
Martial Arts Commission (MAC) in order to aid in the ongoing development of
the organization. Composed of high-ranking taekwondo master and pioneers, the
MAC was formed to honor the ancient traditions of taekwondo, develop all
aspects of taekwondo within the organization, and to enhance the USAT's
relationships with the international taekwondo community. The USAT named
lifelong taekwondo practitioners Joon Pyo Choi and Hong Kong Kim as MAC co-chairmen.

New Commission for a New Era

USA Tae Kwon Do (USAT, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado is the U.S.
governing body for Olympic taekwondo. Though it's the only taekwondo organization
sanctioned by the U.S. Olympic Commitee, its chief executive officer, David Askina
realizes that taekwondo is much more than simply a sport-orientated endeavor. It
also embraces a self-defense component and methods of total physical and mental
development. In order to continue its ongoing service to the U.S. taekwondo
community, the USAT has establisheda new organizational body to encompass these
traditional methods and the traditionalists who teach them.It's called the Martial
Arts Commission (MAC) and it's composed of veteran masters who teach and / or espouse
traditional taekwondo.

July 10, 2007
- USA Taekwondo inaugurated its first class of commissioners for its newly
formed Martial Arts Commission at the Senior National Championships in San Jose.
The newly inaugurated commissioners, consisting of long time Grandmasters throughout
the United States, will be assisting USAT in many martial arts initiatives such as USAT's
new Black Belt Program,poomsae improvement and membership outreach. Led by Co-
Chairmen JP Choi and Hong Kong Kim, this group will provide a vital resource for USAT
as it strengthens its membership programs in the traditional martial arts. Grandmasters
Choi and Kim are important historical figures in USAT and are working hard to reconnect
USA Taekwondo to many of its honored founders and leaders.
